As a citizen response...

Here I would lyk to put my views on INDIAN education system, wat it was n wat it can be... by gvng a broader picture of wat it is...

So in one sentence if I hav to say smthng "lot to cover n v little time", dats wat Dr. APJ Kalam thnk of... as by 2020 he wants INDIA to be a developed nation, n the youngistan too... bt can it be really achieved,,, definately if we can work together towrds the same goal... DEVELOPMENT... :)

Today INDIA has 2nd largest no of Engg in world bt at the same time... largest no of dropouts, n this system effects e'thng... health, political choices, economy, fertility rate. To get a better picture whole environment is to be changed, hav to giv the vision to e'body of better INDIA. Hav to show them wat they can be rather then to show them wat they r...

So education is the best thng which I can thnk of... "we should fund schooling not schools". They shld be taught to be entrepreneurs, innovators. It will make them free, will allow them to do experiments, will allow them to ask questions, n it will make them realize wat they r...

Better organisation n better practises can help in this... better policies, better strategies, NO ROTE LEARNING can do the favour too... If they can be made independent to workout on their problem... it can also come handy...

There is no lack of demand today, bt wat is lackng is quality of supply,,, investment is inadequate in terms of efficiency n equity. Much countries spending less then INDIA are gettng better results... students today hav limited learning n no exposure n the result is dat the students today can't participate successfully in modern economy n society...

so nw wat the best can be done... we can tell ppl to stand by a cause... for a cause lyk TEACH FOR INDIA... which is really helping the poor sectors of society to rise over a level... OVER A LEVEL OF THEIR OWN THOUGHTS...
